What is a ZoomLock fitting?
Parker's zoom lock max press to connect refrigerant fittings is a press to connect. Technology approved for hvacr operating pressures up to 700 psi.
How long do ZoomLock fittings last?
A: The expected life of the O-ring, if used within the product specifications for temperature and pressure, is at least 25 years.
Who owns ZoomLock?

Do ZoomLock fittings leak?
A: No, some rotational movement is quite acceptable, the joint will not leak, nor will it come apart under the pressure loading and during system operation.
What’s the difference between ZoomLock and ZoomLock Max?
Parker is now upgrading their “press-to-connect refrigerant fittings” to ZoomLock MAX, an improved version of the original ZoomLock. ZoomLock MAX allows contractors to make secure leak-free connections in seconds. It means less time on the job and more money in the contractor’s pocket.
Can you use ZoomLock on soft copper?
Does ZoomLock work on both hard and soft copper? Yes, ZoomLock can connect hard copper up to type K and also works with annealed soft copper as well.
Can you use ProPress for refrigerant piping?
Neither of the sealing elements are compatible with refrigerant gases, so Propress cannot be used in such appli- cations.
How do I get rid of ProPress fittings?
It open just gently all the way to the end and once I did that it was able to start rotating on the pipe. And then I was able to use some pliers and pull it right off.
Is Pro press better than solder?
Unlike soldering, ProPress systems do not need an open flame to be completed. This creates a safer work environment and by not requiring a hot work permit, saves time. Another advantage over soldering, ProPress fittings can be installed without having to drain and dry the system beforehand.
Can ProPress fittings be buried?
A shiny Viega press fitting is almost too pretty to use where it can’t be seen, but that doesn’t mean you should hesitate to bury it. It’s one of the most common questions we get: can MegaPress, ProPress and other fittings be used underground? The answer is yes.
Are press fittings better than solder?

Can you crimp onto chrome pipe?
No you can’t, You must only use compression with JUST chrome pipe.
Will SharkBite work on chrome?
SharkBite connector ends are not approved for use with chrome plated pipe. If it is necessary to use chrome plated tubing, the chrome finish should be completely removed from 1″ of the tubing ends.
Does solder stick to chrome?
As I pointed out before the solder will not actually stick to the Chrome.
How do I connect PVC pipe to chrome?
Push the end of the chrome trap’s straight pipe into the trap adaptor which is connected to the PVC sewer pipe coming out of the wall. Then push the other end of the trap up onto the vertical pipe running down from the sink’s drain hole. Turn the trap adaptor’s nut by hand to tighten it to the P-trap.
Can I use compression fittings on chrome pipe?
Yes you can do so! But don’t ever use push fit fittings with chrome pipe!!!!
