Can Gyprock be used outdoors?

Use Aquacheck gyprock, its fine for outdoor use as long as it doesnt come into direct contact with water, so make sure your patio is flashed well. Every house Ive worked on in the past 5 years have used either standard gyprock or aquacheck in the Patio/Alfresco areas.Nov 18, 2008

Can Gyprock be used externally?

Our recommendation is to use Gyprock Aquachek™ in areas including bathrooms, kitchen, laundries, garages and external ceiling applications such as covered walkways and verandas that are protected from direct exposure to rain and weather.

Bottom edge of plasterboard will be most at risk, will suck up any moisture, if you get driving rain,or any ground moisture coming up through floor in open storm porch. I would have use Knauf Aquapanel Exterior, or similar cement board product & definitely not plasterboard.
